Why is it important to consider these topics:
In this age of Post Modernism, Tolerance, Relativism, Humanism and Materialism, humankind is challenged to discard the old and take on the new.  Try it, you'll like it, we're told.  Lest we throw out the baby with the bath water, we must look to a source of truth that doesn't change and in so doing, relate it to science which changes constantly.  We must establish a firm foundation.
A Testimony in Favor of Recent Origins and Intelligent Design was written to encourage study of many interrelated fields of evidence related to where humankind came from, why we are where we are and where we are going.  Evidence is considered on the basis of how well it fits a young universe model in comparison with an old universe model.
